For Service Providers
Why List Your Business on Prepare 4 Sale?
We connect motivated Australian home sellers with rated, reviewed local providers. Here's how it works for the businesses we list.
What sellers look at when choosing a provider
Sellers on Prepare 4 Sale almost always make their shortlist the same way: they pick a category, filter to their suburb, and start comparing the providers at the top of the results. The decision comes down to four things they can see at a glance — your star rating, your review count, your Preferred badge (or absence of one), and the quality of your profile.
Reviews and ratings dominate the decision. Sellers trust other sellers more than they trust marketing copy, and almost no one enquires with a provider who has no reviews at all. The fastest way to win on the platform is to be Preferred (top of results), actively collect reviews from past clients, and write a profile that speaks specifically to home sellers preparing to list.
How preferred placement works
Preferred Members appear at the top of every search result in their category and primary service area. The Preferred badge shows on the provider card in the directory and on the individual profile page. Below the Preferred section, results are ordered by rating and review count.
That layered ordering means sellers see the most-vetted, most- reviewed providers first — and Preferred Members get the consistent top-of-page exposure that drives qualified enquiries.
Who benefits from listing
Any business that services properties preparing for sale — across Australia. The current categories on the platform:
- Real Estate — sales agents, property managers, buyers agents
- Property Stylists — style your home to sell for more
- Photographers — professional photos that get buyers calling
- Videographers — cinematic property tours that drive enquiries
- Trades — pre-sale repairs and tradespeople
- Handyman — small repairs, fixes, and odd jobs
- Services — specialist pre-sale services for sellers
- Building Inspectors — know what buyers will find
- Legal — conveyancers and legal pros for property sale
- Cleaning — spotless presentation, every time
- Landscapers — first impressions start at the kerb
If your business sits adjacent to one of these categories (think window cleaners, smart home installers, plumbers, electricians, asbestos removers, removalists), select Other on the enquiry form and we'll talk through whether the platform's a fit for your service.
What it takes to apply
A 60-second enquiry form. We'll respond within one business day to walk you through what's available in your area, show you examples of similar provider profiles, and discuss whether a Preferred Listing is a fit for your business.
Provider FAQ
-
Who sees my listing?
- Australian home sellers using Prepare 4 Sale to find providers in your category and suburb. Sellers can browse without registration — every visitor to your category directory page sees your listing if you're a Preferred Member in their area.
-
What is a Preferred Listing?
- A Preferred Listing means your business appears at the top of search results in your service area, displays a Preferred badge on your card and profile, and gets priority on seller enquiries. It's the most visible placement on the platform.
-
Can I get reviews from my existing clients?
- Yes. Once your listing is live, we provide a review-request link you can share with past and current clients. Reviews are verified before publishing — sellers see only genuine, vetted feedback.
-
Which service categories are available?
- We currently support 11 categories across the home sale journey: Real Estate, Property Stylists, Photographers, Videographers, Trades, Handyman, Services, Building Inspectors, Legal, Cleaning, Landscapers. If your service doesn't fit cleanly into one of these, select "Other" on the enquiry form and we'll be in touch.
-
Is there a free listing option?
- We offer limited free listings. Submit an enquiry via the form on our List Your Business page and we'll be in touch to discuss what's available in your area — listing options vary by category and location.
-
How are star ratings calculated?
- Your star rating is the average of all verified seller reviews for your business. We display the average rating to one decimal place alongside the total review count, so sellers can see both sentiment and volume of feedback.
-
How do I manage my profile?
- Once your listing is approved, we'll send you login details to your provider dashboard where you can update your business description, services offered, photos, service areas, and contact preferences. Profile changes go live immediately.
-
Do I pay per lead or per enquiry?
- No. Listings work on a flat rate — you don't pay per click, per lead, or per call. Enquiries come to you directly, with no platform fee on the work that follows.
